How do I subscribe to Maisha Health Tips?

Subscrisbing is as easy as Dialling *147# on your mobile phone. This opens an elaborate bouquet of topics from which you can choose the health subject you would like Maisha to educate you on. Maisha currently offers 8 packages to choose from.

How reliable is the health education given by Maisha?

Maisha Health tips are verified by local health professionals to ensure that you get credible and factual health information to assist you to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Please note that the advice given by Maisha does not substitute for a medical doctor’s advice.

How do I pay my subscriptions?

Maisha automatically deducts subscriptions through your airtime wallet as soon as you register. This will be based on a package chosen daily, weekly, monthly etc. You are not able to initiate the payment.

Can I subscribe to more than one health tips packages?

Maisha allows you to subscribe to as many health packages as you want on the menu.

Does Maisha use local languages?

Maisha speaks several languages including English, Ndebele or Shona for you to choose from.

How do I unsubscribe from Maisha Health Tips?

Dial *147#, Select option 9 to unsubscribe from the package you were on.

Can I have tips on credit?

Maisha only sends health tips after successful airtime deduction.
DIAL A DOC SERVICE

What is Dial A Doc?

This is an advisory service offered by Maisha that gives you access to speak with a qualified medical doctor about your health concerns from your mobile phone through dialing 147 on an Econet line.

How can I pay for the service?

Simply recharge your Econet line to make a call to the doctors on 147.

What time can I call and get the service?

You can speak to a doctor from 8am to 8pm everyday including weekends.

In which language is the service available?

Maisha provides Dial A Doc service in English, Shona or Ndebele.

Can the doctor prescribe on Dial A Doc?

Doctors only offer advisory services on Dial A Doc and are not allowed to prescribe over the phone.

What is Maisha Medik App?

Maisha Medik is a digital health platform that helps you manage your personal medical history and interact with the whole ecosystem of health service providers such as doctors, pharmacies and laboratories.

How can I download the App?

Simply download the Maisha Medik App on Play Store and AppStore for free

How much am I charged to use the App?

Maisha Medik is free for use for patients. You will however require mobile data or Wi-Fi to access the services on the platform.

What can I do on Maisha Medik App as a patient?

Maisha allows you to search for nearby doctors or pharmacies, book an appointment, video consultation with your doctor, settle your medical bills and view your lab results, X-rays or CT scans.

What can I do on Maisha Medik App as a health service provider?

Maisha enables you to manage your patients’ calendar and appointments, built in ICD-10 coding, multiple interfaces and secure access points for all staff and access to a network of hospitals for transfers and admission of patients.

Who are the service providers on the Maisha Medik App?

The service providers cover the entire spectrum of healthcare to include general practitioners, dentists, specialists, pharmacies, medical laboratories and diagnostic imaging centres.

What about privacy and security?

Maisha highly values patient confidentiality and privacy and has invested in state-of-the-art security features to protect the integrity of health information. Maisha Medik offers secure access and control over personal medical history and records via unique passwords and PINs.

How do I pay health service providers on Maisha?

Payment is via EcoCash, Debit or Credit Card. If you are on Health Insurance, that is accepted too.
